Show uu IN GiBIJG RAID Spanish Fork, April 18. As a result re-sult of the moral wave which is just now at high tide in Spanish Fork, twenty residents of the city were ar-.rested ar-.rested today on charges of gambling. Among the men arrested are some of the most prominent residents of tho city. The raid was ordered by City Marshal Mar-shal Mai tell, and the arrests were made by his subordinates. The most prominent man arrested is A. B. Rock-hill, Rock-hill, a banker and business man It will bo alleged that Mr. Rockhill rents a building In which a ,sbllnd pig" is conducted, and that ho is financially interested In tho business. Among the moa against whom gam bllng charges have been lodged are the following Fred Dart, former clt marshal; Nell Eahle, former justice of tho peace, and a merchant, T M Nave, city electrician, T. B Jones, stockman, Frank Thomas, government forester. These and the others against whom charges wore lodged were lodged were arraigned before TV. B. Frost, justice of the peace, this evening and released upon their own recognizance until April 2S, when a hearing will be had |
