Show EXPERIMENTS IN RICE CULTURE. ' The people who own lands in the Talley sections of the northern part of the state are not content with the fact that they have secured success In tho growing of almost every crop known to the state and have been able to excel even the land owners of the south In the growing of fruits and vegetables. They have end-deavored end-deavored to obtain new crops and have succeeded in one particular instance in-stance far beyond their own expectation expecta-tion This is in the growing of rice in the adobe land sections of tho northern north-ern portion of the river valleys. The crops obtained show that this crop can be made to pay fabulously on the lands, and that It will become one of the most valuable food crops of the stnte, not only in utility, but in revenue production Along the lower reaches of the Sacramento Sac-ramento river the land owners are finding that beans can be grown with gioat success and that wealth will come from the crop.
