Show Sees Aluminum Take the Place of Cloth The day is not fur distant when people peo-ple will wear clothing made of aluminum, alumi-num, says Dr. James Rublnfeid, metallurgist metal-lurgist expert, of Berlin. He points' out that thin aluminum already is used successfully for tbe Interior decoration of airplanes, for the outside covering of shoes and on fancy pocketbooka and ladles' vanity bags. From this, Doctor Kublnfeld argues, It Is but a step toward the use of aluminum as a substitute for cloth. "Already," he says, "Germany exports ex-ports to Italy aluminum brocades that Is, brocades for ladles' garments woven of flue aluminum threads. There Is little danger that these materials ma-terials will tear or crumple, because the sensitive metnl has been neutralized neutral-ized and been made capable of stretching stretch-ing through layers of cellulose super-Impressed super-Impressed upon It." |
