Show New Assistants Vice Chairman Named For Minute Women Appointment of two new vice chainmen to the women's unit of the Cache county salvage committee, com-mittee, were announced today by Mrs. David Burgoyne, county chairman. They ( are Mrs. Vivian Herrick of Logan, who will have charge of salvaging nosiery aiiu rags and Mrs. David J. Smith of River Heights, who will supervise collection of fats, greases and tin cans. Mrs.Herrick, manager of Hughes shop in Logan, is a native of Denver, Colorado. She has lived in Logan since July, 1941 and has taken an active part in civic life since coming here Mrs. Smith, a native of River Heights, is the wife of Major David J. Smith, stationed . with the quartermaster corps in North Africa. ' Returning to River Heights with her daughter for the duration, dura-tion, Mrs. Smith declared, "If they need more grease and fats to make explosives to end this war sooner, I am willing to do all I can to help salvage them." |
