Show Poison Grain Ready for Pest Campaign Destruction of ground squirrels this -week is one way to help in our food-for-fredeom program. Farmers of Cache County are asked ask-ed to cooperate during Oris week, June 1st to 6th, to distribute poisoned pois-oned grain to get rid of ground squirrels, County Agent R. L-Wrigley L-Wrigley says: Dp to now ihere has been very-little very-little bait put out because during the early season the squirrels will not eat it, only the males are out and they go for green feed. Right ( now they will eat it and when they eat it they die. Every farmer who i has this pest on his property, whether on farm or range land, is urged to cooperate for the destruction destruc-tion of this pest. During the next three weeks is tire most desirable time of year to get satisfactory results, so do it now. Poisoned grain is kept in local communities at the following places: Paradise, Maughan's store; Wellsville, Golden Rule Store; Mendon, Anderson Store; Smith-field, Smith-field, Smithfield Implement Company; Com-pany; Richmond, post office; Cornish, Cor-nish, Bambrough Store; Newton, Larsen Hardware; Clarkston, Jensen Jen-sen Mercantile; Logan, county agent's office; and at the Anderson Ander-son Lumber Company in Hyrum, Lewiston, and Trenton. |
