De Mille, noted Hollywood Holly-wood producer and radio director, will be heard over Station KVNU at 7:30 p. m. on Sunday, July 29, it was announced today by officials of-ficials of the station. Mr. De Mille's address, titled "Majority Rights and Wrongs," j was originally presented before an j estimated audience of 5,000 in i Wichita, Kansas, where he soke under the auspices of the Town j Hall committee, and is being presented pre-sented over Station KVNU by means of transcription. "De Mille was invited to speak for us," a Town Hall committee spokesman declared, "not because he was a famous Hollywood producer, pro-ducer, no: because he is familiar to millions of radio listeners as the director for 10 years of the Radio Theatre. The real reason the invitation was extended him was because, of the magnific3nt stand he has been taking in the role of a vigorous champion individual rights and freedoms'". The Town Hall committee of Wichita, now in the process of expanding nationally, is a nonpartisan, non-partisan, non-profit organization which has as its basic purpose the upholding of Constitutional government govern-ment against federal bureaucratic encroachments, it was stated. |
