Show LEWISTON A military party was held in Lewiston First ward chapel and community dance hall Wednesday evening honorins the boys who are going in the armed forces this month. The program consisted of music, song and reading with talks by the boys. The party was sponsored by the II. I. A. with President Orlo Jones in charge. After the program a dancing party was enjoyed in the community dance hall. The boys going into the service are Drew Cunningham Newel King, Paul Stocks, Robert Hyer, Gerald Hendricks and Mr. Nelson. The annual Alon's club party entertaining their husbands was held at the home of Mrs. Eva Parkinson Saturday night. A delicious de-licious turkey dinner was served and the evening spents playing bridge, prizes being awarded to Mr. and Mrs. Langton Barber Mr. and Mrs. Carl Stoddard. Special Spe-cial guests were Dow Lewis, Mrs Ray Harrison, and Mrs. Nellie Bernhisel of Logan. Mrs. Maria Bernhisel entertained entertain-ed the Alon's club at her home Friday night, a dainty luncheon being served and the evening spent playing bridge. Mrs. Bernhisel pre-, pre-, sented a gift to each of her ; guests. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Orchard and family, Mr. and Mrs. Max' Orchard and family of Brigham City, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Goff and family of Ogden, were dinner din-ner guests of Mr. and Mrs Bert Orchard New Years day. Mr. and Mrs. Smith Ackroyd of Alberta, Canada and then-daughter, then-daughter, Mrs. Verna Nyman and twin boys, also Mr. and Mrs Nyman of North Logan were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bergeson Sunday. |
