Show Toolmakers Wanted To meet the great demand for '. toolmakers for the Netional Defense De-fense Program, the United States Civil Service Commission urges qualified persons to apply for this position. Immediate appointments are to be made at ordnance and naval establishments in Philadelphia, Phila-delphia, Pa.; Boston, Springfield, and Watertow, Mass.; Watervliet, N. Y.; and Washington, D. C. Approximately Ap-proximately 600 appointments will be made in the Frankford Arsenal alone. The pay scales vary according ac-cording to the place of employment, employ-ment, ranging from $6.24 a day to $1.17 an hour. Applicats must have completed a 4-year apprenticesnip as tooi-maker, tooi-maker, or must have had 4 years of practical experience in the trade. They must be able to read blueprints and must be experienced exper-ienced in the use of percision gages, ga-ges, measuring instruments, etc. The proper application forms may be obtained from Albert O. Anderson, Secretary, Board of U. S.
