Mrs. Merlin Jensen entertained at a birthday party Wednesday afternoon for her daughter Leah, who was observing her eighth birthday anniversary. 16 small friends were served at a large table centered with a birthday cake. I A welcome home and farewell I party combined was held recently in honor of Miss Verda Jensen, Mr. Burns Toolson and Mr. Wendell Wen-dell Hurren. Miss Jensen and Mr. Burns were welcomed home from' the mission field and Mr. Hur- ren was honored because of leaving soon for the army. The! evening was spent in playing games and refreshments were serv- ed. A very enjoyable time was had by all who attended. J Mr. and Mrs. D. H. Gregory entertained Wednesday evening at their home. Mrs. Jerald Plowman Plow-man gave a review of the book, "Sapphira and the Slave Girl," by Willa Cather. Special guests were Mrs. Truman Hillyard, Mrs. O. H. Van Orden and Mrs. Vane Raymond. 12 club members were present. Refreshments were served serv-ed by the hostess Mr. and Mrs. D. H. Gregory emertained at a turkey dinner on Saturday evening.
