Show Smithfield Represented At Book Week Smithfield was represented at the Book; Week feature of the Utah State Agricultural College' Summer Session by Beatrice Thornley and Willise Covey who were very interested in the lectures lect-ures on literature, children's books, and illustrating conducted in connection with the course. Various memebers of the resident re-sident faculty of the College joined join-ed with the memebers of the 1 Summer visiting staff to make I the book attraction popular and beneficial. The class grew from an enrollment of 85 on the first day to a final day attendance of ISl to attest the apparent usefulness use-fulness of such a featuye to the residents of this vicinity. Held in the Children's Library at the College the class offered access to the books recommended for the use of children, and Mr. Leonard Kirkpatrick, College Librarian, was on hand to give practical demonstrations on library lib-rary work. Those who attended the session are looking forward to a similar offering next year. Regular College Coll-ege credit may be had in this class. |
