Show Former County Commissioner Dies at Hyrum Funeral services for Ole H. Andersen, An-dersen, 84, former Cache county commissioner and prominent church worker, who died at his home late Tuesday night of causes incident to age, will be conducted Saturday at 2 p. m. in the Hyrum Second ward chapel by Bishop Garnell Larsen. ' He, was born on August 20, 1858 in Slaglfberg, Denmark, a son of Hans and Mette Marie Olsen Andersen. An-dersen. In 1871 he came to the United States and settled at Hyrum Hy-rum where he has since resided. He has been a successful farmer and dairyman. Mr. Andersen served as a missionary mis-sionary for the church from 1902 to 1905 and as the first superintendent superin-tendent of the Hyrum Second ward Sunday school. Active in other auxiliary organizations he was president of the ward YMMIA and as a member of the old folks' committee for ten years. He served as county commissioner commission-er from 1900 to 1902 and as Hyrum Hy-rum city justice of the peace for many years. On March 7, 1885 he married Elsine Jensen. Surviving are his widow of Hyrum Hy-rum and nine of his 16 sons and daughters. Otto Andersen of Aberdeen, Aber-deen, Idaho; Mrs. Cora H. Haven, Lewisville, Idaho; Mrs. Elva Coleman, Cole-man, of Smithfield; Mrs. Nettie Christiansen, Leland, Dclos, Loyell, Clinton and Rulon Andersen of Hyrum; 39 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren, and two brothers, bro-thers, Jens C. Andersen of Hyrum and H. P. Andersen of Logan. Friends may call at the family home Saturday until time of services. ser-vices. Burial will be in the Hyrum cemetery under direction of the Thompson Funeral home of Hyrum. |
