Show '!gordqn-McMurd;e i rites solemnized Mi LCGAN TEMPLE Miss LaRee Gordon, attractive young daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Earl Gordon of Smithfield, and Ray McMurdie. son of Mrs. and Mrs. William Mills McMurdie of Richmond were united in marriage Wednesday in the Logan Lo-gan LDS temple. Both young, persons are graduates gradu-ates of North Cache high school and Seminary, and have taken active parts in church affairs. Following their temple marriage, mar-riage, the couple left for a short wedding trip to Salt Lake City, after which they will make their home in Richmond. For traveling the bride chose a black pin-stripe suit with red accesories. In honor of her daughter, LaRee, La-Ree, Mrs. W. Earl Gordon gave an attractive trousseau tea at her home last Sunday. With her in the receiving line were Mrs. W. M. McMurdie and LaRee, whoi was lovely in a blue taffeta gown with pink velvet trim. Her corsage cor-sage was of pink rosebuds, and in her hair she wore a coronet Of nink "JivPpt npnc TVTi-c r.-rlm- fljiin owv-u jt.ao. luia. iiJlUUll and Mrs. McMurdie had corsages of white rosebuds and pink sweet peas. Jean Perk-ins and Margaret Hurren presided at the artistic tea table, which was covered with a lace cloth over green and was centered with a mound of carnations carna-tions and daffodils. At each side of the floral centerpiece were tiered yellow tapers, intertwined with green myrtle accenting the color scheme of pale pink, green and yellow carried out in all appointments ap-pointments and in the refresh ments. Mrs. Betty Saxton, Barbara Winn and Mrs. Kenneth Turner supervised the trousseau rooms, where a beautiful trousseau was on display; Margaret Merrill of Richmond had charge of the many lovely gifts, and Verla Hillyard was -in charge of the gest book. Those who served were Carla Rae Winn, Eva Lou West, Elaine Nelson and Ramona Peterson, assisted as-sisted by Mrs. Hazel Peterson, Mrs. Alta Peterson and Mrs. Eu-lalia Eu-lalia Humpherys of Hyrum. All girls assisting at the tea were dressed in formal frocks and had corsages of white daisies and white sweet peas. During the appointed hours of 2 to 8 p.m., over 200 guests called. |
