Show Alum Magazine (Honors Peterson Dedicated to Dr. E. G. Peterson, president emeritus of Utah State Agricultural college, the Utah State Alumni (Quarterly was released Saturday for distribution to association assoc-iation members and to more than 2C0O former aggies who are in the i firmed forces. Dr. King Hendricks, acting librarian, lib-rarian, wrote the tribute to Dr. Peterson, which said, "No man has served this institution longer as president and no man has served it better." Continuing a review of recent developments in the various schools at the college, tire publication featured illustrated discussions of the schools of commerce and home economics. The article outlined postwar plans for the school of commerce and summarized careers which can be realized through honie economics training. The quarterly contained the complete addresses of Dr. N. A. Federsen, J. Reuben Clark Jr., and Merle Meacham, Logan, who par. ticipated in the annual commencement commence-ment exercises, and the senior address, which was delivered by I Mary White, Tremonton. News of campus affairs, includ- ing recent faculty appointments, and outline of athletic achievements, achieve-ments, also were included along with a list of promotions of service ser-vice men and women in the armed forces, a continuation of tha Aggie register of former students and alumni in the armed forces and their present addresses and the honor roll naming those killed, missing or wounded in action. Several pages also were devoted to a list of marriages, births and deaths of former college students. |
