Show The Book Luree Literary club met at the home of Mrs. Clinton Law, Friday evening. Mrs. Edwin Noble reviewed the book, "The Promise," by Pearl Buck. Special guests were Mrs. Leland Pilkmg-ton, Pilkmg-ton, Mrs. Val Rigby, Mrs. Curtis Hill and Mrs. Bud Reese. Refreshments Refresh-ments were served to 17 club members mem-bers and the special guests. Mrs, Woodrow Selley entertained her bridge club from Tremonton at her home Monday evening. The evening was spent m playing bridge. Luncheon was served to the following guests: Mrs. Lynn Thomas, Mrs. Wesley Gcphart, Mrs. Arch Richardson, Mrs. Roy Shumway, Mrs. Jed Abbott, Mrs. Melvin Foxley and Mrs. Edward Fronk. Mr. and Mrs. George S. Smith and family of Brigham City spent the week end visiting with his mother, Mrs. Fern N. Smith prior to their leaving for Armstead, Montana, where he will oe employed em-ployed as agent by the Union Pacific Pa-cific Railroad company. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Nilson and family of Ogden visited with relatives rela-tives on Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs.1 George S. Smith and family of Brigham City and Mrs. Fern N. Smith werj the guests of Mr. end Mrs. E. A. Chugg of Providence on Thanksgiving. Thanks-giving. Lt. G. G. Sweeten of Hondo, Texas, was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Nilson on Wednesday. Lt. Sweeten and wife and daughter daugh-ter returned to Salt Lak-. Mr. an3 Mrs. Clyde Littledyke and family of Franklin were the week end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ei-nest Littledyke. Visiting with her mother, Mrs. Parkinson was Peggy Parkinson of Salt Lake City. Mrs. J. M, Roylance entertained the Ladies Literary club at her home Thursday afternoon. Mrs. R. V. Larsen of Logan was in charge of the program and reviewed the book, "Hungry Hill" by Daphne a'Maurier. Refreshments were served to 14 club members. Mrs. Milo Hobbs of Preston was a guest of Mrs. Ornold Nilson on Tuesday. Mrs. Woodrow Selley was visiting visit-ing with friends and relatives in Wellsville onTuesday evening. Bishop Don Chambers and family fam-ily have purchased the Boyd Pitcher Pit-cher home on Main street. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Pitcher and son have purchased a home and farm at Trenton. 1 |
