Show THE BINGHAM NEWS lJ The small daily or country weekly that Uvea up to its opportunities re-presents the stand of personal Jour-nalism in behalf of the community. As Ion? as the small city dailies and crountry 'weeklies remain true to their best traditions, with their editorials devoted to constructive pol-itics, their influence in journalism will increase. ADVANTAGE OF SMALL NEWSPAPERS From an ethical standpoint it can i'airly be claimed that the country press and small city dailies have a marked advantage over the big me-tropolitan newspapers. The smaller papers are conducted by their owners who are personally known to the people and business men of the community and read in nearly every family. The owners, editors, and publish-ers are freer to express their honest convictions than the highly commer-cialized city press, too often run by hired employes, principally to earn dividends. In short, say those who have viewed "Don Q, Son of Zorro," this whip be-comes in the hands of Faiibaaiui all tnat the duelling sword was in his prevjou productions. "Ion Q, Son of Zorro," is said to have everything in it lor the audience entertainment; high adventure, most appealing ronvance, startling melo-drama and mystifying intrigue. In its production, Mr. Fairbanks gathered around him players of exseptional merit and popularity. Mary Astor, young, beautiful and highly capaole, is his leading lady, with Jack McDon-ald and Donald Crisp, who also direc-ts the picture, in the chief snorti-ng male roles. Others in the cast art the Countess De Lanti, Warner Oland, Jean Hersholt, Lottie Pickford For rest and Albert MacQurrie. Fairbanks Picture Full of Adventure Famous Star Never So' Athletic As in "Don Q," His Latest Photoplay With the news that Douglas Fair-bunk- s in his Intent screen success, "Don Q, Son of Zorro," will be the feature attraction next Sunday and Monday at the Isis theatre, comes the added announcement that this famous star has, for the time being, stepped out of his role of the historic character such as "Robin Hood," oi the fantastic such as "The Thief of Uagtiad," and will be seen in his new photoplay as the romantic adventurei winning hearts and plaudits with athletic powers. This new film, "Don Q, Son oi Zorro," is by no means a screen ver-sion of the Cervantes classic, "Don Quixote," as some have thought, but has been adapted by Jack Cunning-ham from the novel 'Don Q's Love Story," by K. and Hesketh Prichard. Don Q, the son of Zorro, is sent from Caliioinia to Spain to complete his education. There he wins high favor at the Spanish court, only to be accused of murder. To escape dis-grace he pretends suicide and be-comes an outlaw. Of course, there is a romantic love story, and Don Q't quest for the heart and hand of t beautiful senorita eventually meet with success though beset by mun tribulations. Never in Fairbank's carreer, it u said by critics everywhere, did ht have a photoplay vehicle that gavt him such splendid opportunities foi athletic stunts the type of film poi trayal which brought him his earlier successes, and in "Don Q, Son ol Zorro," there are feats of nimblenes. and daring that are said to be far in excess of anything the redoubtable "Doug" has ever presented.
