Show TRUCK OWNERS MUST OBTAIN CERTIFICATES " Committee Will Aid Farmers Farm-ers in Filling Out Complex Blanks Meetings Slated. Personnel of the Cache county transportation committee to aid farmers in obtaining certificates of war necessity for operation of trucks and pickup trucks, were announced an-nounced today by Alphonzo Chris-tensen Chris-tensen of Newton, chairman of the Cache county war board and farm transportation committee. A series of meetings for every community in the valley is being planned to aid farmers in filling our the complex blanks. Dates and places will be announced Mr. Christensen said. The committee is composed of the chairman; two farmers, one trucker of farm produce and one implement dealer. The members of the Cache committee com-mittee are Marvin Thain of Benson, Ben-son, farmer; Archie Harper of Trenton, farmer; Dewey Olsen of Young, milk hauler and Norman Fuhriman of Providence, Implement Imple-ment dealer. Alternates are David Hurren of Hyde Park, farmer; W. J. Bingham of Amalga, famer; William C. Ladle of Mendon, milk hauler and J. M. Roylance of Smithfield, implement im-plement dealer. He warned farm truckers "not to throw away any government mail" as application blanks for the certificates are being mailed to farmers without fanfare from the Detroit office of the office of defense transportation. "If one of these blanks is thrown away," Mr. Christensen explained, i "It can't be replaced, at least ' without a long delay. Every truck and pickup operator must have his certificate by November 15 or he will be unable to operate a truck or obtain gasoline, tires or repair parts for it." Application blanks will be mailed immediately to truckers in the county whose trucks were registered regis-tered as of December 31, 1941. To obtain a certificate to operate a truck purchased since then, the owner must write immediately directly to Detroit for an application applica-tion blank. |
