U., Wyoming A crippled Utah Aggie basketball basket-ball team, minus the services of two ace guards, lelt Thursday ! for Denver to piay a return encounter en-counter with the Denver Pioneers Friday night and will windup their road trip Saturday on Wyoming's home court. Dale Lewis, who contracted a severe case of influenza early in the week, and Lyle Hale, with an Injured knee, were left behind when the squad left.. Hale is in a Logan hospital suffering also with an infected wisdom tooth and Coach Deb Young said he would ! be out for the rest of the season. The Utags wound up their practice prac-tice sessions with a light shoot, ing drill, discussed a new offensive of-fensive for Denver and then left for Ogden. Coach Young took the entire remaining members of his squad on the trip. Captain Clint Nelson Marv Abrams, Earl Holmstead, Grant Mortensen and Garth Bel-liston, Bel-liston, probable starters; Udell Wankier, Conway Maughan, Jack Donoval, Pat Condie and Kay Anderson, reserves. Following this trip, the farmers farm-ers will wind up the season next Wednesday when BYU comes to Logan. i |
