Show Services Arranged For F. E. McCann AVill Be Monday at 2 in Fourth Ward Chapel Funeral services for Francis ' Earl McCann, 54, first manager of the Anderson Lumber company in Smithfield, who died Wednesday Wednes-day at 3:45 p.m. at the home of a brother, L. W. McCann in Smithfield after a long illness, will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. in the Smithfield Fourth ward chapel by Bishop G. L. Rees. Mr. McCann had been ill for the past 20 years and had been confined to his bed for the past six years. He was born in Smithfield oa April 3, 1889 a son of Joseph N. and Ellen Cantwell McCann. He attended Smithfield schools and the Oneida stake academy at Preston, Idaho for one year. He finished his business courses at the University Uni-versity of Idaho, South in Poca-tello. Poca-tello. He worked for the Lewiston Supply company and at the Amalgamated Amal-gamated Sugar company storehouse store-house in Lewiston for several yeare and later was employed by the sugar company at Amalga. After serving some time as manager man-ager of the lumber company in Smithfield he worked for the Pacific Pa-cific Fruit express company in California. He married Clara Roskelley in the Logan Temple on June 28, 1911. Mr. McCann was active in church work, in the choir, Sun-dav Sun-dav school and tfimnl? wnrlr Kf was an elder in the Smithfield Fourth ward. Survivors include his widow: three sons and daughters, Sergeant Francis Earl McCann Jr., o Camp Ord, California; Mrs. Ethel Pierce of Roseville, California, and Mrs. Dora Call of Fair Oaks, California; Cali-fornia; five grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters, Mrs. William Phillips of Ogden, Mrs. E. G. Merrill of Pocatello, j Idaho; Mrs. Charles Pond of Island Isl-and Park, Idaho; Mrs. Robert Reese 9. Brigham Cit;v Joseph S. McCann of Preston, Idaho and Charles, Albert and L. W. McCann of Smithfield. Friends may call at the home of his brother, L. W. McCann in Smithfield Sunday afternoon and evening and Monday until time of services. Burial will be in the Smithfield cemetery under direction of the Kenneth Lindquist Mortuary Mortu-ary of Logan. |
