Show Two Well Known Utah Mining Men Die During Week John J. Daly, who developed some of the richest mines in the Park City district, died this week in California, after a short illness. For a number of years Mr. Daly has made his home on the coast but to a large extent has retained his holdings in this state. During the same week word was received re-ceived of the death of Frank J. Westcott, West-cott, widely known mining man, at Rochester, Minn., where he had gone to undergo an operation. Mr. Westcott was also secretary of the Tribune Publishing company. Funeral services for Mr. Daly were held in California and those for Mr. Westcott at the Cathedral of the Madeleine Ma-deleine in Salt Lake. |
