| Show HOW WIDOW CAN GET INCREASED PENSION if a person is pensioned as the widow of a soulier soldier sailor or marine who served in tre tle civil war and who was his lawful wife luring the period of his services in said war or as the widow of a soldier s or marine who served in the civil arr or the wai wal with mexico or the war of 1812 ard who has reached the ago age of 70 years she be should if she has not already done io lo write a letter to the commissioner of tensions pensions washington D C b in ing careful to state in slime correctly her pension certify cate number tile name and service af the soldat r sailor or marine the tile ex act date late of her birth the place of hei bel birth her name as it irs in her pension lle rind hr po tonice address in full no further formil dormil application 6 necessary to se u curo cure the th benefits bent fits of the increase of pension granted by tho the first section of the act if ahe she has reached the tile age of 70 years in uri or before the dale date of the passage of the act the increase will be allowed from that date if however she becomes seventy years of ago age at sometime subsequent to the pass ige of the act the increase in ine creise reise will bo be al allowed her to commence from the date she reaches that age if the evidence in her pension case shows that she is entitled ti to the increase of pension provided by this legislation the bureau cf of pensions will as soon possible grant an in creaso if it further evidence is necessary a call will be issued no claim a agent ent or attorney will be recognized in connection with this matter in order to obtain pension or renewal ri wal of pension under the second section of the tile above act ami grants a pension to a widow whose name was on the pension roll and has been dropped by reason of her marriage to another person who has since died or from whom she has been divorced upon her own application and without fault on her part a remarried widow must file a formal application in the bureau of pensions senator reed smoot will be glad to furnish proper blank upon application if a widow desires to claim pension under the third section cf of thi th i act let which gives a widow as described in section 2 of the act approved april 19 1908 title to apply for a pension if she married parried soldier or sailor priar to june 27 1905 an extension anim juno june 27 it vill bo be necessary for her to fio formal application in the bureau of pensions pep pensions senator smoot will bo be glad to furnish proper blank upon request and any further information desired |
