The pressure on the trigger was quiteheavy.and the weapnn was discharged, dischar-ged, the ball entering the left breas' above the heart. It passed completely thicngh the upper lole of the left lung, struck the sholder blade and ranged downward. Drs, Ilanchett ami Dnglass were called but decided after an examination that it would be nine1 safer to leave the ball in the body theu to attempt to extract it.
