| Show WEBER BASIN ELECTION SET FOR FOB DEC 6 T A contract for or repaying 9 the U S government for con Et ruction of the weber basin project was approved this week by the board of directors of the weber bain ba in water conservancy district it was ivas announced by W union rulon white district president although the authorized project will cost of government funds ot of this a mount will not have to be repaid this Is because beca tise of the national NN welfare elfare features included in the irole project ct such is as flood control rec creation rea tion and fish and wildlife for which the government does not ask repayment it now becomes necessary tor for the voting taxpayers of weber davis morgan and summit counties hach which comprise the water district to authorize the directors to sign the contract voters will also aleo be asked to authorize the dirac tors lors to issue revenue bonds in the amount of 0 to build water plants and other facil aties not covered by the govern ment money in conformance with the utah conservancy act the board of dl di rectors lectors adopted a resolution calling for a district election dec 6 when two propositions will be submitted to voters 1 shall 11 weber etier basin water conservancy directors be permitted to lo sign the repayment contract with the government 2 will the weber basin water conservancy district be authorized to issue its revenue bonds tor for it the yes vote carries thea the first contract on construction will be awarded immediately and work will niall be underway within weeks mr white said |
