| Show 4 H club news one of the important assignments of 0 4 11 club members la is to demonstrate some item or phase of 0 their work many of 0 the girls have been taking advantage of 0 an opportunity to in local stores this summer these demonstrations have been held each thursday at 1 p in at grocery and dry goods stores they will continue until uie the fair thurs thursday day aug 2 they are at doyles y es and aug 9 at williams everyone Is invited to watch and learn learn from what these girls are giving A very one fine demonstration was given by kaye winters ot of the slide 4 H group at the if II 11 francis store saturday afternoon with pictures and material she showed various ways to serve ice cream for childrens and adults parties two of the most outstanding ones A scoop of ice cream on a plate with the cone tour four cloves for eyes mouth and nose and a red cherry at the top of the cone added a gay quirk to a novel way to serve for a childs party and a second was a eonta container Juer made of thin chocolate filled with ice cream about 14 watched the demon stra tion including leaders from th the e slide and peterson mrs airs JO josephine 37 D dark clark was also present 0 0 0 the gingham eight met alona monday afternoon at the home ot of de ann welsh and cut out dresses after which deann and tannie brower served refreshments besides the hostesses those present were connie stewart gerry i williams ardis ardia brower georgia heiner and sherolyn rogers i the next meeting will be held at the home bome of gerry williams when the girls will start sewing on their dresses 0 milton 4 11 club girls met at the homes ot of mrs twila giles and lauia during the past two weeks they are working on aprons and dresses at each meeting following the sewing period games were enjoyed and refreshments served present at the meeting of the was josephine D dark clark who gave the members a few tips on going to college and told about some interesting classes worth investigating I 1 A discussion on the history of clothing was highlighted by viewing a scrap book made by mrs blaik while attending college refreshments were served byi by enid hulet to all the members the meeting was held at the home of shirley nielsen Nl elsen 0 0 ai I A party was held for the moth ers era ot of the corny cooks at the home ol of their leader mrs airs L IV christensen the girls in caps and aprons alike served a delte delicious breakfast to their mothers and honored guests mrs josephine D I 1 dark clark and miss margaret little |
