| Show funeral services are held for george simmons funeral services for george richard simmons of salt lake city were held thursday in the jefferson ward chapel mr air simmons simmon s died sunday mr air simmons was born in in morgan may 11 1873 a son of george william and emma rawle simmons lie was married to ellen J walker in the logan temple in 1893 she died in ogden in 1039 1939 and he was married to emily J hughes in the salt lake temple in in 1943 he was a farmer and carpenter by occupation in 1901 he wasa was sent by the church as one of the first settlers to orton canada there he served in the ward bishopric ile he resided there for nine years before returning to utah besides his widow he is survived by four sons three daughters two brothers 29 grandchildren 18 great grandchildren three half sisters three half brothers and one stepson |
