Show seen and heard on main street saturday A gloom loom was cast over all when the news was spread that one of our well known citizens newell waldron had passed away expressions of sympathy for those left behind were heard on all sides monday the appalling news of a fourth traffic fatality within the past 30 days day s in morgan county which happened sunday a young junior at the high school stanley mikesell sympathy goes out to this family who are so sadly bereaved a second time their son richard gave his life for his country in the war one wonders why these things should be tuesday still sad thoughts prevail V ail armistice day a day when every country throughout the world stops on the lith hour of the bilth day of the bilth month for a few moments and bow heads in silent reverence for those who gave their lives flowers banks of flowers sent not to the one who no longer can see or smell particularly but to the living to show respect and to show that there is still beauty and sunshine to make life worth living music our high school band is wonderful to see these young people so absorbed irk in their playing speaks wonders for their leader and the chorus deserves mention over there over there how our thoughts go back to 20 years ago and BK the speaker of the day who thinks that he is the only one who getting any older what he thinks but we enjoyed his joke anyway and were happy to have him with us the sun is trying to break through the clouds yes there is a sun and there sire are happier days ahead |
