Show plans for morgan 0 a fair air discussed discussed Dis cusse at meeting friday changes in horse pulling contest rules are made premium list to be ready in august county fair F air board met last friday evening to discuss and formulate plans for the coming fair which will be held the 4 5 and ath of september james palmer was chairman of the meeting it was voted to make a few changes in this years program gr am and regulations one change deemed necessary was in the horse pulling contest in other years teams winning first place in each weight class were awarded harnesses second place 1 10 and third place this year the board voted to follow the procedure used in the summit county fair that is the winner of f first place in each weight group is awarded a harness and he in turn donates 25 2 to be awarded second place third place will be awarded 1000 another ruling adopted was that there would be no exhibitors tickets furnished this bear year in other words the livestock entry fee will not be applied against admission to the fair grounds there will be new classes in the poultry beef agricultural and horticultural ti departments an added attraction will be a display of community agricultural and horticultural exhibits the exhibits will be judged artistic arrangement ran gement variety and quality of produce shown it is planned that each community will be allowed so much to put on this exhibit an din addition prize money will be awarded for the best display fair board recommended that the premium list be published and in in the hands bands of the exhibitors by the middle of august all exhibitors are urged to get their produce and livestock in condition conditi om get your teams ready for the pulling contest and your horses ready for the races |
