Show PREMIUMS AWARDED AT MORGAN CO FAIR september 8 was designated as 4 H club day at the morgan county fair special 4 H activities were featured on this day under the direction of mrs harriette 4 H club supervisor and leaders of the fourteen 4 H clubs the group exhibits of morgan county 4 H clubs were given high by the judges reflecting credit to the women and girls who are leading the groups all group exhibits were classified into A B C or D classes on basis of merit the following clubs received a class A rating lor for group exhibit clothing I 1 mrs L G fox leader clothing ili II 11 katherine eddington leaders the following clubs received a class B rating for group exhibits foods I 1 larue waldron leader clothing I 1 mrs oles smith smith mrs lucy ellis leaders clothing 11 clara madsen leader IV mrs ted london leader twenty nine 4 H girls participated in the judging activity each sirl judged 6 classes of home products including bread canned fruits and vegetables posters showing meal planning ng dresses and undergarments eight girls scored an A rating and eleven a B rating awards will be given as fon follow for class A rating senior division carol dark clark thelma the fair which included vocational home economics and open class exhibits in clothing as well as 4 H girls miss mary winters devils slide miss barbara crouch croydon and miss dorothy williams devils slide were given high ratings and miss mar winters was selected to represent the cou county in the state style dress revue being beina 1 held at the state fair girls modeling dresses made in 4 H projects included phase dorothy toone donna dark clark beth bet ellis aileen fox 2nd and phase effie keyes lavon carter opal winters vera keyes mary durrant aan sommers maude littlefield rv erly fair miss carol jclark clark 4 H club leader and mem her ber of morgan received the first olace award for the individual kerr exhibit that included 2 jars of meats 2 vegetables 2 berries and two other fruits the 2nd and phase foods club led by miss clan clam will wilif also receive the award for the group canning exhibit the second place in the individual kerr entry was won by mary winters of devils slide the second place in the roup canning exhibit will be awarded awarded to the 3rd ard phase foods club of morgan led by mrs mary mari welch and mrs katherine eddin edding on record books
