Show RANGE OWNERS AND 0 OPERATORS MUST REPORT range owners ow ners and operators who plan to participate in the 1939 agricultural ri conservation program should make their applications before june alst 1st county agent C R richards reports to the news the program provides for cert certain airs payments on range building practices as in the program instructions have been mailed to ranch operators who have been in the program in the past but advises that others wino are interested in the range program should not overlook the fact that applications must be complete on or before may 31 before calling at his office he advises that the operators determine the practices needed and which they J expect to perform they should have a complete legal description of the range land operated including leased eased lands and if possible prepare a map of the ranching unit showing streams with approximate location of water developments fences f ances eto etc mr richards states that within with in the limits of the range building allowance the 1939 range conservation program offers an opportunity to earn eam payments for f or carry carr y in ins out a number of range buildt building 19 practices or ct ices these practices are as follows 1 natural re seeding by deterred deferred grazing 3 2 artificial re seeding of range land 3 development of springs 4 building reservoirs for stock water 5 digging wells for stock water 6 spreader dams and terraces water spreading 7 contour listing furrowing or subs 8 fire guards |
