Show SOIL conservation t MEETINGS ANNOUNCED J local meetings are now be being held in the various communities of morgan county by the county agricultural i conservation committee and the county agent at these meetings the new program for 1937 is being explained with the hope of helping farmers arrange their system so as to receive benefit payments that may come thru adopting some part of the proposed soil conservation program county agent C R richards explains that as a part of the program it will be necessary tor for the committee to secure work sheets for each farm in the county As soon as possible the maps will be made tor for every farm which will be used as a permanent record in the program mr richards states it is hoped that with maps once properly made very little measuring will need to be done and the expense of getting individual farm records will be reduced to a minimum the schedule of the meetings follows tuesday evening feb 2 porterville wednesday feb 3 p in peterson wednesday feb 3rd ard 73 p m milton thursday feb 4 p m morgan tuesday feb ath p in croydon the committee will be at work completing worksheets work sheets for the next two or three weeks mr richards states that the election of officers for 1937 will take place about the last of february when the work sheets have been prepared |
