Show parade fine ne exhibits feature fair opening the morgan county fair began this morning with a program which promises to be the best in the his tory ot of the fair the tha parade thurs i d day yin morning or n in was made up of beautifully decorated lec decorated orated floats prepared by the business houses and 1 eions in morgan county the parade started at the sou south th morgan school and followed in line of march north on the state highway to the underpass of the railroad then east thru the business section of morgan to the fair grounds in addition to the many floats the parade consisted of the bands from both box elder high school and morgan high school boys saddle ponies rodeo riders and numerous other special features I 1 at 1230 p ra the box elder highl high school band gave a concert on oil the fair grounds which was thoroughly enjoyed by all present immediately following the band concert the pulling contest was presented considerable sid erable interest was manifest in this contest but the prizes had not been announced when the news went to press these will be an j bounced later following the horse pulling contest a sports program I 1 consisting of bucking horses bicy cle races pony races race and baseball game was presented as the afternoon I 1 pr program the program for this thursday consists ot of free tea fea 1 ture program at the fair grounds beginning at p in johnny rosell resell and his orchestra will furnish musical features and a program of local fights will be staged under the direction of paul rose the first fair dance will be held this evening at the como springs dance hall music will he be furnished by johnny rosell the program for friday sept 4 will begin at a in with the judging of livestock during the afternoon the morgan high school band will give a concert and the sports program will continue as the first day consisting of rodeo bicycle and pony races and baseball base game the evening program which is free to the public will consist of thirty minute musical prop program am under the direction of J L terry gardle gardie gartenman Gar denman deriman the wizard of the accordian kay and marvel dance team specializing in taps taps and more taps and local fights will furnish out the program the saturday program will consist of the rodeo bicycle and pony races band concert and championship baseball game during the evening a free program at the fair grounds consisting of fights and a pro program rain by hawaiian entertainers will proceed the closing dance the saturday night lance dance at como springs dance hall will be the clodin closing candy dance where lbs ibs of candy will be given away free the music for the closing dance will be furnished by the conner club orchestra of gingham bingham |
