Show PRESIDENT OLSEN APPEALS FOR stockholders ACTION 51 morgan organ utah august 14 1935 editor morgan news morgan utah dear editor from your last article in your paper which I 1 appreciate very much I 1 take it for granted that quite a number of your read era ers would like to see while in fact our whole community should be very much interested some day cottonwood canyon will be one of the greatest assets to our county and if we could and would press it along it would be a great benefit to us all I 1 am sorry to say that at our meeting august loth 1935 nothing was done as very few came out to the meeting for rumors had gone out that our property morgan chief was sold to an eastern syndicate at a fair figure but I 1 am sorry to have to say it LS iz not so but a party in salt lake city ants wants an option on the pembroke Pen broke carbonate hul HUI and morgan chief and consolidate them under one company that he could present to some eastern company tor for sale for a said amount for he claims i that any large syndicate would not buy any of our property separate e therefore he wants an option on said property for no less than one year in which time he would line up lip the claims survey them etc but I 1 will not put up any bond in security but do his best in promoting the undertaking but will not guarantee any sale so you see our property will be tied up for a year or more while in the meantime we have a certain expense to keep up which we will have to bind ourselves to if our property shall be in condition to turn over to th new company we as directors must and stockholders should come out and air the thing over carefully and then act for if this promotion is good we should boost it along MORGAN CHIEF MINING CO by reinhardt olsen P S maxfield who ran the carbonate hill for some time will soon be in our midst to see what can be done H R 0 |
