Show date set for opening of fall quarter U S A C housing facilities good with registration details complete for the opening of fall quarter at utah state agricultural college monday september 27 dr E G peterson president of the college today announced announce a that regular enrollment procedure wai will be carried out in preparation for a normal quarter ol of instruction all students ot of both upper and lomei divisions will register on the opening date and class instruction will commence the following day president peterson suggested that new students contemplating entering the college for the first time in september ember should submit a transcript of high school or college credits one of the antra entra entrance n ce requirements to the registrars office prior to the enrollment date special opportunities will lo be available for students to equip themselves with collegiate training in the many departments of the seven schools agriculture commerce arts and sciences engineering industries and trades forestry and edu education cation new classes added to the regular curriculum are organized along educational lines increasingly significant in peace and war emphasizing educational advantages of basic and advanced courses the seven schools will carry a n full quota of courses for students registered at utah state listed as approved by the united states government for training members of the armed forces the college during the past several months has instructed marines sailors and ormi army air corps students in regular college wo work rk the presence of these groups makes it possible to retain the entire college faculty and to offer a regular program of courses in a all 11 departments to civilian students this provides an even richer college curriculum than offered before at the U S A C regular college catalog available for distribution upon request at the presidents office indicates that the same type of superior training offered by the college in post past years will again be offered to students besides feature ing ng registration dates the publication lists programs of special events for the entire year and courses offered by the schools sufficient housing facilities will be assured college students C L bocock ch charl ariman man of the college housing bureau reported simultaneously with president petersons announcement following a survey of possible apartments and board and room in logan these housing accommodations will supplement the recent purchase of the eccles home on west center street ali ai a residence hall the dormitory remodeled to house 75 women will be large enough to hold only n comparatively small portion of the tall fall quarter student body which will find b oard board and room or apartments in logans residential section reservations for room at the eccles residence hall are being made to mrs Carol caroline lne M hendricks dean of women while available apartments and board and room are listed and certified by the housing homing bureau |
