Show LETTERS JU from our boys hi m service y somewhere in england 9 29 42 dear mr perry it Is about time I 1 was writing you and thanking you for the paper I 1 have been receiving thanks to your kindness it comes regular now and its something to look forward to at each maji mail call one never really appreciates the home town and things around it until they see distant places and they get to thinking back that Co coalville alville so bad after all tomorrow makes just one year 1 have been in the army I 1 have traveled all over the states seen and done many things traveled all over the isles here and expect to go many more places yet in the end I 1 believe I 1 am the lucky one instead of the fellows that let the word war scare them and got married not to mention any names but casting a few reflections on some of the fellows at home they probably got deferred for awhile but I 1 see the long arm of uncle sam Is catching up to them I 1 think the army Is a great place forn tor awhile while and I 1 am not sorry I 1 en listel to do my part soon I 1 hope to be able to write a long letter to you but at present very little happens that wo we are able to write home about so will have to let this bit do for now thanking you again for the bee I 1 remain russell V trone P 8 my new A P 0 Is so as to keep the bees coming |
