Show moses C taylor kamas chosen commissioner the summit county commissioners at their november eting received petitions endorsing three thie candidates for the filling of the commiss commissions Jons post lett left vacant by the recent death ol of A H mccormick ol of kamas chairman of the board the men presented tor for consideration were levi lev pearson of oakley moses C taylor of kamas and fl fied A peterson of woodland the county board met again november and selected moses C kamas to nil fill the vacancy H S kerr chief engineer and K Q C wright assistant of the state road commission met with the board and discussed federal aid project work for the coming year it was decided that the work undertaken should include the replacement of the chalk creek bridge over the lincoln highway at coal ville the improvement of the road from the morgan county line to henefer and from wasatch to the wyoming state line oiling work to be performed next year will include from kimballs Kun Kim balls junction to park city and through to the wasatch county line and from kimballs Kim balls junction to the salt lake county line on top of the sum mit the stretch on this road from to the salt lake county line being constructed of extra heavy oil mulch gravel mayor elect A J gibbons and a committee from the kiwanis club from park city met meb with the board relative to the oiling program county clerk john E wright presented a tentative budget tor for the year 1930 in the amount of 80 this amount was apportioned among the various funds as follows general indigent poor 8 6 widowed mothers county road and county fair 2 A program of county library work was outlined to the county board by moslah mosiah hall of the state superintendents ten dents office and also a plan of vocational rehabilitation these matters will bo b taken up later by the board |
