C. C Robinson The publication was started in Jan 31 1867 and ran until May 18 1867 taking in some 15 issues It was a sheet one-sheet weekly publication written by hand and on paper obtainable this copy being written apparently apparently apparently upon paper taken from froman an old ledger If any anyone one knows any further further further fur fur- ther details on this paper or ormay ormay ormay may by some chance have a copy of one of the 15 issues Mr Ward would certainly appreciate appreciate appreciate ap ap- ap- ap having you write him himIn himin himin in care of the BYU Library in Provo Mr Ward is also making an appeal for old telephone books of the area They will be microfilmed mic mie- microfilmed and kept on record at the BYU He also came up with a bit bitof bitof bitof of information which should be useful to many local residents resi resi- dents The BYU has microfilmed microfilmed microfilmed mic mic- all the copies of the Messenger clear olear back to 1885 and anyone desiring to look at these copies may may do so by coming to the library The reason that this is is' such welcome neWs news is because it is almost impossible to handle our old file copies because of their rapid deterioration So dont don't be offended if we suggest suggest suggest sug sug- gest using the library microfilms microfilms microfilms micro micro- films over the y yellowing files Dear Dear- Santa May I have a private word with you A little confidential chat that's just between us two My Johnnys Johnny's sent a list of things he wants on Christmas morn But Santa wont won't you please pretend that you forgot the horn If you will grant this favor please Ill I'll never ask another Bring only toys that dont don't make any noise And oblige Yours truly Mother Amen to the a above above- y |
