V Allen State Farm Bureau Federation who talked around the theme that American citizens should be free to pursue lawful businesses businesses businesses busi busi- nesses with a minimum of government government gov gov- government interference and reg reg- After the adjournment of of the afternoon session the women gathered at the M Manti mU City Park where a tree was planted in honor of Miss Margaret Margaret Margaret Mar Mar- garet Anderson past president of the Utah Federation of Women's Clubs Mrs Woolley an active club member for 59 years has always always al- al i ways been interested in uplifting uplifting up- up fI lifting things such as good i music books friends and the theu u beautiful pictures which she paints ic The tribute read as follows Lt TO A LOVELY LADY Alice Snow Woolley whose love for and devotion to the good and the beautiful has meant so much in her own life and in the lives of us usI I about her In the few moments we have we can but glance at the accomplishments accomplishments accomplishments ac ac- she has made Let us now glance at that which she has attained because because because be be- cause of her love and devotion devotion devotion devo devo- tion to the good First she has loved and been devoted to her husband who is good next to family whom she has dearly loved who are good and honorable honorable honorable hon hon- people A mothers mother's devotion devotion devotion de de- de- de to her own is the strongest power for good that comes to them in their lives Other things we must not forget to mention is her devotion devotion devotion de de- de- de to the things that are uplifting and cultural in society society society so so- good music good books good friends good neighbors seeing good in all Each of us can think of the many services services ices she has given in our club which has been a good club for 69 years Now to but glance at her love for and devotion to the beautiful truly the things we have said are all beautiful But Butto Butto Butto to be more specific let us mention mention mention men men- tion things tangible Her beautiful beautiful beautiful beau beau- home surroundings well kept lawns flowers and shrubs to make pleasant and beautify ithe the home The simplicity and beauty of her home on the inside tells us she is an artist Outstanding to most of us is her ability to put on canvas the beauties of nature She is cultured and charming charm charm- ing Her personal love of art arthas arthas arthas has been apparent in her dress speech and her home Her ability to make drab corners corners corners cor cor- ners beautiful never overdone but so pleasing to the eye is isan isan isan an outstanding talent She is soft of speech with a sense of humor that Is refreshing She has gone to fields and mountains at home and faraway faraway faraway far far- away places to Ito make her sketches sketches sketches ches for her pictures and then make the finished work Today we honor and love her for her life with us and we pray she will have much joy and happiness in the days to come |
