Show News Mews of Manti Men In Uniform On Furlough Airman 2nd Class Max Bahr has been visiting in Manti on furlough from the Air Force and will be here until August 26 when he must report to Parks Air Force Base in Cal Cal- From Parks he expects ex expects expects ex- ex to leave for overseas duty probably in Korea Koren Max entered the Air Force two years ago last May 1 and md has been doing secret service work Maxs Max's brother Arlo is also in the Air Force and at present serving in Japan He too is in inthe inthe inthe the secret service section his work de dealing ling with codes Max hopes to be able to look him up in his brief stay in Japan before going on to Korea On Leave Leae From Navy Wallace t Braithwaite surprised ed his folks Mr and Mrs Clinton Clinton Clinton Clin Clin- ton Braithwaite on Sunday when he lie arrived in Manti 1 aCter af after after af- af ter returning from the Far East He lie has a leave from the Navy which will last through August When he returns to duty Wallace Vallace will report to Long LongBeach LongBeach LongBeach Beach California taking his wife and small son with him He has been in the Far East since January doing radar work on a destroyer He has 18 months of oC his enlistment yet yetto yetto yetto to serve Writes From Turkey Our thanks to Airman Glen Edmunds son of oC Mr Ir and Mrs Gomer Goner Edmunds for a very newsy letter His letter to us was mailed July 26 and reads as follows I just got through reading the nth Oth of oC July issue of the Messenger for the second time so I thought I would write a note to you and tell you how I am nm getting on over here My ly mother sends me each issue of the pa paper paper paper pa- pa per so I can keep up with the news that the folks never could put in letters unless they wrote newspapers too When I left the U. U S. S A.
