Show To o Be e Honored on one Sixtieth Wedding e Anniversary Mr and Mrs James Tatton will be honored with an open house reception at their home from 3 to 7 o'clock Sun Sunday ay afternoon on the occasion of their sixtieth wedding anniversary They were married in the Manti ManU temple temple temple tem tem- on its opening day May 30 1888 and are believed to be the only couple left eft who were married on that day in the local temple Both have been active in L D S church work she in Relief Society Sunday Schools and Genealogical or organizations organizations organizations or- or and he in the priesthood quorums Mr Tatton now 85 was born at Salt Lake City April 26 1863 a son of Jo John C. C and Sarah Brown Tatton He came to Manti when only three I years old and has made his home here since having many experiences connected with pioneer life He has been a successful stockman and farmer Especially fond of hors horses s he has trained some of the best draft t horses in the state He has also been fond of sports and continued to hunt deer until two years ago Louisa Cox Tatton was born Nov 25 1864 at Manti a daughter of or Fredrick Walter and Lucy Allen Cox She taught school during her young wom womanhood and still gives interesting demonstrations on her spinning wheel The have three sons Ralph and Tatton of Manti and Fred Tatton of Calif They also have 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren 0 |
