Show Manti ManU City Council Notes I The regular meeting of the Manti ManU City Council was held January 17 Mayor Leslie J. J Anderson presided All members of the Council were present with the exception of Councilman Evan M. M Johnson Gary M. M Sorensen and Drew MerrIam representing the Manti Man Man- ti Fire Department met with the Council to request permission to purchase additional fire ire firefighting firefighting fighting equipment including oxygen tanks masks etc They also discussed maintenance of the fire Ire fighting vehicles It was suggested that a price list be prepared of the equipment needed and it will be reviewed and approved by Councilman C. C Ray Keller before purchase is made City Attorney Louis read a letter from Call Engineering which stated re requirements requirements requirements re- re for meeting bond payment requirements based on the new water rates It was decided that a special meeting of the Council would be beheld held January 24 at pm p.m. to open any bids received to purchase water revenue subordinate subordinate subordinate bonds series 1972 as published in the public notice contained in the Manti Mantl Messenger Messenger Messenger Messen Messen- ger December 28 and Jan January uary 4 1973 Frank and Lionel King met with the Council as representatives of the ManU Mantl North Ward Church and High Council of the Sanpete South Stake of the Church to request that culinary water be supplied to the property outside of the City limits on which they propose to build a stake house They are in the process of filling out papers for church approval and they need the agreement of the City Council that culinary water will be furnished furnished furnished fur fur- to this property Coun Coun- cilman E. E Donald Olsen made a motion seconded by Councilman Ben C. C KJar that the City will furnish and sell culinary water for the stake building outside of the City limits All councilmen councilmen council council- men present voted aye Ned Madsen Lee R. R Barton and Lionel King met with the Council as representatives of the Manti Mantl Irrigation Company It was their feeling that for the protection n of the City and the Irrigation Company that an agreement should be drawn up for exchange of spring waters in the canyon for culinary use and irrigation use This should be agreed to by both the City and the Irrigation Company and filed with the State Engineer It Il was decided that a Committee from the City and from the Ir Irrigation Irrigation Irrigation Ir- Ir Company be formed and that they meet with the City Attorney to draw up a written agreement specifying the ex exchange exchange exchange ex- ex change and trading of water with the two parties Involved Mayor Vertis Nielson of Ephraim Ephraim Ephraim Eph- Eph raim met with the Council to discuss the three districts In Sanpete County for ambulance service Ephraim Manti Mantl and Sterling represent the Central district and Wallace S.
