C Abrams chairman chairman chairman chair chair- man of the Governors Governor's Historic and Cultural Sites Review Comm Com- Com m is pleased to announce that the Hans Peter Olsen Home In Fountain Green was listed on the State Register of Historic Historic Historic His His- Sites during the committee committee committee com com- meeting October 3 1973 at the Utah State Historical Society Mansion In Salt Lake City The home is owned by Mr and Mrs l Perry Allred The t-shaped t pink brick home was built In 1877 by Hans Peter Olsen Mr Olsen was born in Jutland Denmark on May 30 1833 He joined the Church Churchin in 1853 and five years later 1858 he came to Utah Upon his arrival In Utah he settled In Manti ManU but the following spring he Joined the first group of settlers to Moroni In 1867 Hans Peter Olsen moved to Fountain Green where he continued continued continued con con- his vocation as a farmer He also became the director of ot the Fountain Green op Co-op store Mr Olsen served two missions to his homeland in 1869 and 1891 He died in June 1908 |
