Show James Fr Frost st Prominent Ephraim Citizen Passes From The Ephraim Enterprise James Frost 79 prominent Sanpete civic and church leader died at his home in Ephraim at Thursday morning following a paralytic stroke suffered suffered on August 30 He has served as Ephraim's mayor maYo r and nd as a city councilman was city recorder for many years was the first firs secretary for the Ephraim Irrigation company served for 25 years as the secretary of the Manti ManU National Forest Forest Forest For For- est Association was wa s assistant Sanpete County recorder fo for r two terms served as counselor to the late Bishop C. C R. R Dorius of the EP Ephraim Ephraim Eph Eph- h- h raim South ward for 17 years was superintendent of the Ephraim Southward South Southward Southward ward Sunday School for 8 years and was in the presidency of the South Sanpete Stake High Priests quorum for a number of years He was active in farming fanning and in real estate business and was one of a group who built the large Social Hall now Dreamland Hall in Ephraim He had also been interested in other building projects He had enjoyed the best of health and was vigorous and active up until i the time of his stroke as he prepared to attend the Sanpete e C Centennial celebration celebration cel cel- celebration at Manti Mr Frost was born in Ephraim February 18 1868 a son of Jens C. C and md Maria Andersen Frost He attended at attended attended at- at tended the early pioneer schools and was a member of the first class atthe at atthe atthe the Sanpete Stake Academy now Snow College He also attended the Brigham Young University for forr three winters and acid studied under the late Karl Karl G. G Maeser He filled a mission to Norway and then after completing the mission remained re remained remained re- re in m Denmark for a year to do dl further urther school work He married Anna C. C Peterson in hi the Manti L D S temple Nov 24 1897 She is a daughter of the late President President President dent Peterson and Charlotte E. E 3 Peterson and has been in poor health for a number of years Mr Frost is survived by his widow and four sons James Anthony Frost Phoenix Ariz Eldon L. L Frost Ephraim Ephraim Ephraim Eph Eph- raim Ray L Frost Loa and Leland T.
