Show fORMER MANTI WOMAN BURiED HERE FRIDAY Funeral services were held in the South Ward Chapel Friday afternoon after arter noon of last week over oYer the remains of Mrs Mena lena Axelson Fredrickson Bishop Dishop Madsen conducted tho the ser- ser vices Interment was in the local cemetery Mrs Fredrickson on with with her hr husband hus husband band and family made their home in Manti Marti for many years Her lIer hus husband band a carpenter built the home now owned by F. F G. G Alder Fourteen years ears ago the family moved to Salt Lake which has been the family residence since Three years after moving to the cil city Mr 1 Fredrickson died and was as brought to Manti for far burial Mrs 1 Fredrickson first saw the light of day In Walster Denmark I May the daughter of Mr and Mrs Mra Martin Axelson Tho The family fam fain I ily iy embraced the gospel of the Lat- Lat Latt ter Day Saints in their native land When Mena was 12 years of age she came to Utah ahead of her family ao J came to o Mt 1 Pleasant When her parents came they settled in Ephraim Ephraim Eph- Eph raim faim where she joined them Later they moved to Manti Mantl In 1880 she married Halter Fred Fred- rickson Five children n blessed their home three daughters and two sons two daughters Alice and Mrs Ruby Lund have passed The Thc roe reI remaining re ro- I e children are Sidney whose whereabouts Is not known by the family Chris and Mrs Iv Ivy Cahoon I j the t two to o latter living in Salt Lake LakeI I Cit City Ten grand childr children n survive I and two brothers Joseph Axelson of Man lan Manti and Dolph Axelson of Castle Valley and two sisters Mrs i Lena Simpson Ellis and Mrs Jack Greenig of Salt Lake All members members mem mem- bers of bf f the fl family except Sidney and the grand children were in attendance at attendance attendance at at- at the funeral |
