| Show Local School Proud Of 01 Team v v vIn vIn In commenting on the Basket BasketBall BasketBall BasketBall Ball record of ot the Mantl Manti High School for the year jear 1944 Principal Johnson makes the following statement statement state state- I ment In In spite of the fact that our team was not in the State Tournament this year it was one of the strong teams of the state state In other years the winner of the Sanpete Division has had a place In the State Tournament This year the set up was changed so that a regional tournament ment was necessary to determine the team to represent the region In this Mantl Manti lost to Monroe l by a very small margin Monroe lost to Spanish Forks Fork Fork- a team that Manti had beaten Then Monroe went on to win the B class consolation consolation consolation conso conso- lation place In the winning of ot games there Is often a bit of luck that determines determines determines deter deter- mines the outcome but In the quality of men luck playes no part Mantl Manti High School is proud I of the record of Its team team and very proud of the quality of the members of the team They are men that would honor any school to which they belonged v I |
