J Judd Christmas Rush is over ever for the Post Office at ManU Manti Man Man- U ti and a few observations might I Ibe be he of interest During the week before the cards cords were cancelled On one peak day carri carriers rs de delivered delivered de- de livered an average of nine pieces of cf mail to each family On Dec 22 40 large sacks of parcel parcel parcel par par- cel post were received for distribution distribution dis dis- dis- dis each sack containing many parcels Three full pouches pouch pouch- es of letters and several sacks of circulars magazines etc came in each day for working and delivery As compared with last year the postal busin business ss was slightly more moie this season It was quite obvious to all of the post office force that patrons mailing parcels had done a much better job fob in the preparation and addressing of their parcels parcel I than in previous years Carriers and Clerks are to be commended for or the fine job they did in handling a really tough job Mention should be made of the promptness and tind efficiency cy of the Highway Post Office and aud Star Routes 15 and these operations involve drivers mail clerks and contractors They did a smooth job in every re re- re The most important items of all In accomplishing the Christmas Christmas Christmas Christ Christ- Christi i mas mail job is the cooperation i and nud good will of the patrons of oC the office This we have had Imd end and nd are grateful for it n |
