I i s J r 0 li 1 f Ann Peders on reporter Operetta To Be Presented The operetta Mississippi Melody Melody Mel Mel- o ody y is being practiced by the and grade choruses under under un under un- un der the supervision of Mrs Bernice Bernice Bernice Ber- Ber nice Keeler It is the story of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn We Ve have had the tryouts and eighteen students were chosen by three judges Wed We'd like to thank these judges for their help There are also some girls who will dance The rest of the students will make up the chor chor- us The opportunity of being inthis inthis in inthis this operetta is a new and exciting ex exciting exciting ex- ex citing experience for the stu stu- dents We Ve hope to make it a success It will probably be presented in December Thanksgiving Thanksgiving- This week end is one when we should all show our thank thank- As you all know yesterday was Thanksgiving We Ve are out of school for a four-day four weekend weekend weekend week week- end for which some students are thankful We Ve want everyone in town to cat eat plenty sleep soundly laugh m merrily and most important of all be th thankful for the many blessin blessings s we enjoy Karen Christensen and Paula Reporters I 3rd and Grade Mr Lynn Nielson visited our school He showed us some pictures pictures pictures pic pic- tures and told us about the Samoan Islands We Ve found that the people there are different from us They eat different food wear clothes that are dif dif- dif dif- ferent We Ve feel we would like to visit the Islands We Ve are making puppets and andare andare andare are having lots of fun We Ve are making them of different ma ma- We Ve are using paper mache sawdust and paste cloth paper We are making these r puppets to Illustrate stories for book hook week We Ve have told the story of the Pilgrims and we have them on our walls We are going to have Thanksgiving Thanksgiving Thanks Thanks- giving ti vacation this week We Ve hope we dont don't eat too much tur tur- I key tur-j tur |
