Reid 78 former South Sanpete school superintendent were held in the Manti North Ward Yard chap chapel l Wednesday afternoon with Bishop Bishop Bishop Bish Bish- op Keith Stevenson presiding The prominent Utah educator and church worker died at his home in Salt Lake City Monday at nt a. a am a.m. m. m Mr 11 Reid was known and loved loved loved lov lov- ed for his devoted service as asa asa a n leader in many capacities in inthe inthe inthe the community and stake He served for 13 years as bishop in inthe inthe inthe the Manti North ward and for fora a number of years In the South Sanpete Stake presidency As superintendent of schools in South Sanpete he served for 21 years and was principal of Manti High School for a number number number num num- ber of years prior to this ap ap- ap In a civic capacity he served for four years as ns a member of the Manti 1 City Council Mr 11 Reid was born March larch 13 1877 in Manti l a son of William WilliamT T T. and Adelaide Cox Reid He married Ida Farnsworth in the Manti Temple in 1902 She was killed in an automobile accident August 19 1929 He married Agnes Hoggan Sept 2 1930 in inthe inthe inthe the Manti 1 Temple She died Jan 31 1948 He married Mrs 1 Hannah Blackham in the S Salt a 1 t Lake Temple March 1 20 1952 Surviving Mr Reid are his widow one son Lucian Reid Price four daughters Mrs 1 Melva Melva Mel- Mel va 3 Simmons and Mrs 1 Carol Bolt Holt Salt Lake City M 1 Mrs r l' s s. s Editha Christensen Washington D D.
