Show AROUND The big game hunting is about over for the year but we came cameon on an item the other day that really burned us That was the killing of oC so 0 J many elk during deer season The Fish and Game department had seven eighty-seven kills reported by the end o of the regular hunting season and figures fi figures figures fi- fi gures or more elk were wen killed and left That is one- one sixth the total number of le legall legally legally le- le gally gall authorized elk permits issued for the 1953 hunts and may mean a cut in permits for next year ear There may be rare occasions when elk will be killed by accident accident accident acci acci- dent ch eli Tibbs but this seems I pretty high to us Very few of i those who ho killed the elk were ever reported just leaving the big game animals to spoil A Afew Afew I few square-shooters square reported the mishap themselves and were treated real white by the author author- Those who tried to hide their misdeed should get the maximum fine We Ve see John L. L Lewis finally wants to sell some coal and is planning to use to-use use a percentage of union dues to promote coal as asa asa asa a fuel Cuel This Thus is the same John L.
