| Show BUILDING OF PACIFIC fo 10 BE SCREENED the dramatic story of the build ing of the union pacific railroad Is to become tl e subject of a cecil B demille epic of the seren mr de mille has announced that his next big production is to be called un ion pacific and Is to deal with the important national events which brot about the construction of america americas s first transcontinental railroad and will trace the tremendous develop ment that followed west of the mis river after its construction down to the present day active work on the preparation for the production began a few days ago with the arrival at union pacific headquarters in omaha nebraska of a corps of research specialists of the demille studio they have open ed offices at union pacific where the work of assembling the vast amount of necessary bistor ical data will be carried on jack cunningham well known paramount writer who will write the story Is in omal a gathering story material lie ile is being assisted by frank cahan who is doing the technical research work records and exhibits which form a part of the display at tha the un ion pacific historical museum are being searched and photographed to aid demille in making an accurate story both as to fact customs cos personages equipment etc and old timers are being interviewed all of the location work of the production will be done along the line of the huntoon pacific with a huge cast of players production Is scheduled to start in mid summer it Is expected it will take a full year to film the story |
