Show MB MR AND MRS LAW VISIT NEW starie knowing that mr and mrs LAW had taken an interesting trip we requested the article that follows for the benefit ot of our readers we left delta on dihe morning of july ath for salt lake city where we intended to take the U P bus for a trip east lut but were fortunate in gating passage with a man driving a large jP packard ackard to chicago while wall ting tor for another party he took us with his wife and two children for a drive up city creek canyon where we enjoyed a delightful hour in the co ol 01 we left salt lake city at 7 20 p m and reached omaha saturday evening remaining there until 4 30 p m on sunday when we were glad to pursue our journey because ot of the heat monday we spent in chicago then on to detroit we spent a day at ait the plymouth car plant had lunch and went through the plant it was continued on page eight continued from page one very interesting to note that each man of 11 had each his own lit tie niche to till fill in building a car we followed the course of manu fact ure through until the complete car was driven out on its own power leaving detroit in our own car we drove through a large tunnel un der the belle river brought us onto canadian soil and that night we spent at N agara falls the colored lights were played on the water making a most beautiful and lasting impression of that magnati cent lent scene ne then down to buffalo and on to schenectady where we have a neph ew A L nelson employed at the G E offices he was our driver and guide around new york city and we were glad to have him with us As to our impressions of that great city stir up an ant bed and that bustling busy multitude is just like the traffic space will not permit of further detail the car was parked and we took an escalator up to the L road then the opposite into the subway tube and were carried around 20 miles un under der ground in the down town dis brict we took a boat out to the statue of liberty a climb up the spiral stairway airway qt into her head where we were able to look out and count ed over 70 moving vessels A visit to the bronx park where every cies at af animal bird fish ani reptile were wre in evidence a show at the beautiful music hall where artists were mere in person out among the tall buildings which react it seems mil es lito the air a full day and night we took the subway back 20 miles to our car and then to our neph ew s home we had go ing on to washington D C and to other points of interest but found that we had missed the hill cumor ah on our way out and decided to return that way so it was bright and early sunday morning that we me started the trip back reaching the hill at about 10 30 we found two young missionaries who were glad to take us to the sacred grove thru the joseph smith home and to the hill where a beautiful monument stands explaining the significance of the marks thereon we entered detroit this time over the beautiful peace bride two miles long and spent a day at the ford plant from there we towed a small pick up behind our car at st louis we were the guests of taie brown Shoe Company where we e have bought shoes tor for many ayars every courtesy was shown us now a word about the country everything was beautiful and ev grything ery thing green in the different stat es we took the route from denver th through rought the mountains climbing in our car to soniat ling ang above 11 ll feet then down and down again un til tired aired happy ana anc much pleased pleated we arrived at our home hoine 1 mr air and mrs lanthus parker ot of ruth nevada are visiting in delta with friends they will spend a week at fish lake mr and mrs ed wood of salt lake city visited in delta during the past week with mrs woods wood s parents mr air and mrs Mein mott mr
