Show DINOSAUR exhibition after several months of intensive labors the university of utah dino museum with its a amazing ex hibits has reached approximate corn com dr frederick J pack states that most effort Is being expended on the mounting of the huge brontosaurus to or thunder lizard which was discovered near jensen utah this gigantic creature cica ture weighed ap proximately 35 tons vaen it roamed over eastern utah dr pack points out that the largest elephant of today weighs about five tons thus tar far a hind leg of the titanic creature has been mounted and placed in an upright position the leg alone weighs three fourths of a ton and is eleven feet 1 I from the toot foot to the hip joint besides the brontosaurus the museum has in its possession parts of four other dinosaurs or terrible lizards including the head of a h huge uge flesh eating dinosaur which is ig considered the finest specimen yet unearthed on the other extreme the sity SAY owns an excellent specimen of the tiny three toed miocene horse which when fully grown was less than two feet tall scientists frog aromi eastern colleges are high in their praise of the co lection in the university of utah which by some is acclaimed the finest dinosaur collection in any western uni ver hersty sity visitors from out of iowa own are in kited to visit the museum and in the various collections two more girls have enrolled in the 4 H club which Is under the leadership of miss ann wallace making the club enough to be divided with miss aiss june bassett leader of one and miss ann wallace ot of the other reorganization of the club will taie place at the next regular meeting ot at the group miss edith H me mc allister Al llster ameri can red cross nurse has been as signed to the pacific area to gieg special services on re liet lief and home service problems ac cording to word received by mrs LI ll la bassett Chi chairman airman ol 01 the local red cross chapter ray walters who has been in chicago for the past two years re turned to delta this v eek |
